Club Meetings or Events of Interest

Whilst club meetings are organised primarily for club members; anyone that's interested whether ex-members, anyone thinking of buying a Matra,
or anyone wishing to join the club, will always be made very welcome. Simply turn up (meetings usually start around mid-day) and introduce yourself.
Meetings:
- August 2010 Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th. Northern summer week-end meeting.
To be held in the border town of Berwick. We are visiting the Jim Clark trophy room in Duns, Saturday.
Sunday we will visit Holy Island/Linisfarne.
- September 2010 Friday 17th to Sunday 19th. Goodwood Revival meeting.
This is a superb old car race meeting with great side attractions too. Check the Goodwood website.
- September 2010 Sunday 19th. Club Peugeot UK National Rally, Gaydon.
This is the company Peugeot's 200th anniversary year. The National Rally will be held at the Heritage Centre.
Matra members are invited to join them, and discount tickets are available from Club Peugeot U.K.
- October 2010 Sunday 3rd. Autumn midland meeting. A maintenance meeting at the Wobbly Wheel
pub near Gaydon on the B4100. Exit M40 at junction 12 and head west. Turn left at the roundabout and
head south. The Wobbly Wheel is approx. 7 km from the roundabout. Various parts available for sale.
- November 2010 Friday 12th to Sunday 14th
3 day Classic Car Show at the N.E.C. Birmingham. Book early for discount tickets. (see July magazine)
- December 2010 Sunday 5th. Winter southern meeting. For a map click here.
We hope to vist Croydon Aerodrome in the morning and then travel in convoy to the Grasshopper Inn, a few kilometres west of Westerham
on the A25 and approx. 6 km east from junction 6 of the M25. From the junction go south on the A22 to the first roundabout and turn left.
We may have use of the Gallery. There is plenty of car parking space for car groups to display together.
The Inn serves hot or cold food and drinks, and the warm interior is ideal on a cold winters day.
- February 2011 Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th. Portes de Versailles, Paris, France.
The 36th running of the Retromobile Classic show.
- February 2011 Sunday 6th. Rogerthorpe Manor, near Pontifract. For a map click here.
Winter northern meeting. The meeting starts as usual from around 10.30 am onwards.
- April 2011 Sunday 3rd. Spring midland meeting.

Accurate Models
Now available (mostly on eBay) new models of the Bagheera 1 & 2, Rancho, Murena and Espace 1 Ph2.
These are all 1/43rd scale diecasts, made in China and labelled IXO, and they are extremely well detailed.
Also reportedly available now are 1/43rd scale models of the Matra M25 and the Bagheera U8!
I don't have any further information on these, so see the specialist press for further information.
